The Pre-Tribulation Rapture, and Trump's Prophetic Role: A Prophetic Analysis for October 2025

The Biblical Foundation: Three and a Half Years of Peace
The question of how long the season of peace lasts before the great Ezekiel 38 war has captivated biblical scholars for centuries. Based on Daniel 9:27 and related prophetic texts, the evidence points to three and a half years as the duration of this crucial peace period.
Daniel's prophecy describes a seven-year covenant that is broken at its midpoint: "Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; But in the middle of the week He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate, Even until the consummation, which is determined, Is poured out on the desolate." (Daniel 9:27 NKJV)
This "week" represents seven years, with the covenant being violated precisely halfway through - at the three-and-a-half-year mark.
This timeframe appears consistently throughout prophetic literature:
42 months: "And they will tread the holy city underfoot for forty-two months" (Revelation 11:2)
1,260 days: "And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy one thousand two hundred and sixty days" (Revelation 11:3)
"Time, times, and half a time": "Then the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that they should feed her there one thousand two hundred and sixty days" (Revelation 12:6)
During this first half, Israel experiences unprecedented peace and security, dwelling "without walls, and having neither bars nor gates" (Ezekiel 38:11) - a condition that creates the perfect setup for the northern invasion described in Ezekiel 38-39.
The context of Ezekiel 38:8-11 is crucial: "After many days you will be visited. In the latter years you will come into the land of those brought back from the sword and gathered from many people on the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate; they were brought out of the nations, and now all of them dwell safely. You will ascend, coming like a storm, covering the land like a cloud, you and all your troops and many peoples with you. Thus says the Lord God: 'On that day it shall come to pass that thoughts will arise in your mind, and you will make an evil plan: You will say, "I will go up against a land of unwalled villages; I will go to a peaceful people, who dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates."'" (Ezekiel 38:8-11 NKJV)
How the Pre-Tribulation Rapture Fits the Timeline
The relationship between the pre-tribulation rapture and the Ezekiel 38 war involves a crucial
gap period between the church's removal and the official beginning of Daniel's 70th week. This gap could range from months to several years, though most scholars believe it will be relatively short.
Biblical Foundation for the Pre-Tribulation Rapture:
Jesus promised: "Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth" (Revelation 3:10 NKJV).
Paul assures believers: "For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ" (1 Thessalonians 5:9 NKJV).
The rapture is described as: "For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord" (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 NKJV).
Three Possible Scenarios for Ezekiel 38:
Before the Rapture - The war occurs while the church is still present
Between Rapture and Tribulation - During the gap period after the church is removed
First Half of Tribulation - During the initial 3.5 years of peace
The most likely scenario places the war during the gap period, when global chaos following mass disappearances would create perfect conditions for Russia and its allies to attempt their invasion of Israel.
The Church Age Parenthesis (Signs):
Pre-tribulation theology teaches that Daniel's 70 weeks prophecy contains a "great parenthesis" between the 69th and 70th weeks - representing the entire church age. Daniel 9:24-26 describes the first 69 weeks culminating in Messiah being "cut off," then verse 27 jumps to the final week when "he shall confirm a covenant with many."
This framework explains why the church must be removed before the tribulation: the entire 70-week prophecy concerns "your people and your holy city" - Daniel's people (Israel) and Jerusalem (Daniel 9:24), not the church.
Current Events and Prophetic Positioning
Looking at global events through a prophetic lens, we appear to be living in the climax of the birth pangs Jesus described: "And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows [birth pangs]." (Matthew 24:6-8 NKJV)
Key Prophetic Developments in 2025:
Geopolitical Alignment - The Russia-Iran partnership creates the exact Ezekiel 38-39 coalition:
"Now the word of the Lord came to me, saying, 'Son of man, set your face against Gog, of the land of Magog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal, and prophesy against him'" (Ezekiel 38:1-2 NKJV)
"Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya are with them, all of them with shield and helmet" (Ezekiel 38:5 NKJV)
Israel's Supernatural Protection - Recent military victories demonstrate the fulfillment of: "No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me,' Says the Lord" (Isaiah 54:17 NKJV).
Third Temple Preparations - Red heifer ceremony performed in July 2025, relating to: "This is the ordinance of the law which the Lord has commanded, saying: 'Speak to the children of Israel, that they bring you a red heifer without blemish, in which there is no defect and on which a yoke has never come'" (Numbers 19:2 NKJV).
Accelerating Birth Pangs:
Over 110 armed conflicts worldwide ("wars and rumors of wars")
Economic fragmentation ("famines")
Massive apostasy: "Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons" (1 Timothy 4:1 NKJV)
The October 8, 2025 Game-Changer:
The announcement of the Hamas-Israel peace agreement represents the most prophetically significant development since Israel's 1948 rebirth. While this may not be the actual Daniel 9:27 covenant (since the church is still present), it establishes the framework that the Antichrist will later use.
This relates to the prophetic pattern of "peace and safety": "For when they say, 'Peace and safety!' then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape" (1 Thessalonians 5:3 NKJV).
Trump's Complex Prophetic Role
President Trump occupies a unique position in the prophetic timeline - neither the Antichrist nor merely incidental, but rather a transitional figure whose actions are setting the prophetic stage.
Biblical Comparisons:
Trump as Modern Cyrus - Isaiah prophesied of Cyrus: "Thus says the Lord to His anointed, To Cyrus, whose right hand I have held — To subdue nations before him And loose the armor of kings, To open before him the double doors, So that the gates will not be shut" (Isaiah 45:1 NKJV).
Like Cyrus, Trump: Moved U.S. embassy to Jerusalem (relating to "For the sake of My servant Jacob, And Israel My elect, I have even called you by your name; I have named you, though you have not known Me" - Isaiah 45:4), provided unprecedented support for Israel, and facilitated peace agreements (Abraham Accords).
Trump as Modern Jehu - The comparison to Jehu relates to his role as God's instrument of judgment: "And you shall strike down the house of Ahab your master, that I may avenge the blood of My servants the prophets, and the blood of all the servants of the Lord, at the hand of Jezebel" (2 Kings 9:7 NKJV).
Not the Antichrist, But the Stage-Setter:
Scripture indicates the Antichrist will initially appear as a peacemaker who "shall confirm a covenant with many" (Daniel 9:27) but will ultimately "exalt and magnify himself above every god, shall speak blasphemies against the God of gods" (Daniel 11:36 NKJV).
Trump's strong support for Israel contradicts this pattern, as the Antichrist will ultimately "plant the tents of his palace between the seas and the glorious holy mountain" (Daniel 11:45) - indicating he will claim Jerusalem.
Trump’s presidency likely represents the final stage before the church age ends and a Prophetic Accelerator, of which his actions are dramatically speeding up the prophetic timeline.
The Restrainer’s Final Act
Trump may represent the final expression of the restraining force (through governmental authority) before the church is raptured. His efforts to restore Christian values and support Israel could be the restrainer’s last major intervention before removal.
Where We Stand Today
The successful Hamas-Israel peace agreement demonstrates the fulfillment of Jesus' prophecy about the acceleration of end-times events: "So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near—at the doors!" (Matthew 24:33 NKJV).
The Prophetic Assessment:
We appear to be positioned at the convergence point described in: "But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come" (2 Timothy 3:1 NKJV).
And: "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only" (Matthew 24:36 NKJV).
The Urgency of This Moment
Jesus warned: "Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect" (Matthew 24:44 NKJV).
The convergence of prophetic signs creates unprecedented urgency. We may literally be witnessing the final stage-setting before the church is removed and Daniel's 70th week begins.
The rapture has never been more imminent.
For the Church:
Paul instructed: "Therefore comfort one another with these words" (1 Thessalonians 4:18 NKJV).
Maintain readiness: "Let your waist be girded and your lamps burning" (Luke 12:35 NKJV)
Watch prophecy: "Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man" (Luke 21:36 NKJV)
Share the Gospel: "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come" (Matthew 24:14 NKJV)
For Israel:
The season of peace described in Ezekiel 38 is being prepared: "In that day I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it" (Zechariah 12:3 NKJV).
For the World:
Jesus warned: "And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; men's hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken" (Luke 21:25-26 NKJV).
But He also promised: "Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near" (Luke 21:28 NKJV).
The prophetic clock isn't just ticking - it's racing toward midnight. We are living in the final moments of the greatest prophetic drama in human history, and recent events suggest that drama is about to reach its climactic turning point.
"He who testifies to these things says, 'Surely I am coming quickly.' Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!" (Revelation 22:20 NKJV)
