Salvation
Ephesians 2:8

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

WHAT is Salvation?
-
It is deliverance from sin.

-
It is the FREE GIFT of Eternal Life ONLY through Jesus Christ.

-
It is available for EVERYONE.

-
It is NOT limited to any denomination, race, gender, or age.

-
You can NOT live a Christian life by yourself.

-
You can NOT SAVE YOURSELF.

Salvation is God’s plan of deliverance, performed solely by Him, not man’s.

There are KEY elements; however, there is a deeper process involved.

It is absolutely achievable and God doesn’t expect perfection.

It takes on a chain of supernatural events with the power of the Almighty guiding you toward His will and purpose.

Separation from God?

First, NOTHING can separate you from the love of God.
He loves you NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO; HOWEVER, That DOESN'T give you a license to do whatever you want whenever you want.

Romans 8:38-39

"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Separation from God is everyone’s problem.
The Bible says, “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).
Scripture plainly states, “The wages of sin is death [separation], but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23).

You could say that we "alienate" ourselves from God through our blatant sinning and disobedience against His will and ways.
Because of our free will, (when making wrong choices) sinning blinds us to the consequences of our ungodly, unrighteous decisions.
God's Plan of Salvation

WHAT is Salvation, HOW do you obtain it, and WHY do you need Salvation?

Salvation in Christianity (or deliverance), redemption is the "saving of mankind from death and separation from God" by Christ's death and resurrection, and the justification following this salvation.

Christians partake in this redemption by baptism, repentance, and participating in Jesus' death and resurrection.

There are "KEY" elements along with a process involved ; therefore, one must study how to get redeemed fully to gain the wisdom, knowledge, and understanding to claim our promised seat in Heaven.

Many people believe that saying a prayer, getting submerged in water, and being a "good person" is all you need to make it to heaven.

There is more to getting to heaven than taking the "Roman Road" so, make sure you aren't being deceived.

Let's delve into these questions and MAKE SURE we are secured with a place next to our Heavenly Father.

Did you get saved and then get lost again?

Do you need assurance?
Because of our sin, we cannot in any sense earn salvation.
We could follow a zillion steps, and it would not be enough which is why Jesus had to die in our place.
-
We are absolutely incapable of paying our sin debt to God or cleansing ourselves from sin.

-
Only God could accomplish our salvation, and He did. God Himself completed the "plan" and thereby offers salvation to anyone who will receive it from Him.

-
Salvation and forgiveness of sins IS NOT about following steps.

-
It is about receiving Christ as Savior and recognizing that He has done all of the work for us.
God requires one step of us—receiving Jesus Christ as our Savior from sin and fully trusting in Him alone as the way of salvation FROM OUR WHOLE HEART.

That is what distinguishes the Christian faith from ALL other world religions, each of which has a list of steps that must be followed in order for salvation to be received.

The Christian faith recognizes that God has already completed the steps and simply calls on the repentant to receive Him in faith.

It DOESN'T STOP HERE! You need to learn how to live.

SO:
A RELATIONSHIP IS NEEDED......

-> KEYS TO SPIRITUAL GROWTH

1. Listening to God’s Word

2. Receiving the Word as the Holy Spirit interprets it; applying it to yourself

3. Noting God’s nature and character as His Word reveals it

4. Obedience to His commands and invitations; accepting and doing

5. Recognizing and Rejoicing in His love and building a relationship
What do I need to do to have a relationship with the Almighty?

Here is a simple start. The 21 Day Challenge:

Having a relationship with the Lord is much like a marriage. In this case it involves DAILY:

-
Prayer - Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the truth to you

-
Thankfulness - ALWAYS give Thanks - 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (NIV) – “Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

-
Meditation on His Word - Just think about one verse throughout day (Look up the commentary)

-
Psalm 1:2 (NIV) "...but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night."
Start out with a morning and evening prayer time.

Always thank Him before and after and read a few verses; then, up to a chapter each morning and evening.

During the day, talk to Him, thank Him, treat Him like your best friend; because HE IS!
After you develop this habit and stick to it (21 days).
Watch and listen to everything around you. What has changed?

God's Word (The Bible) is His mind in print. It holds the laws and truths of His kingdom He created. We are His creation.

Everything in our world actually belongs to Him. We wouldn't have it otherwise.
A person can never find and fulfill true peace, joy, and contentment until they’re saved and develop a relationship with God.

Now, Knowing God is necessary.

Romans 12:2 KJV

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
